You may be seeking an assessment in order to clarify and better understand your, or your child’s difficulties, provide a diagnosis, obtain suggestions about appropriate treatments, receive reasonable accommodations in school and/or work, and obtain practical recommendations to help you function better in your daily life. A referring professional, such as a mental health clinician, learning specialist, or physician may be requesting an evaluation for you in order to obtain information that will benefit you.

An assessment involves an in-depth clinical interview, collateral contacts with teachers or other relevant professionals, review of records, administration of standardized tests, a comprehensive report, a detailed feedback session to the client and his or her family, as well as contact with and feedback to referring providers. My goal is to understand each client’s strengths and limitations thoroughly and to provide results that clients, and other referring professionals, can use to significantly improve quality of life.

I practice in Marin County, California,and see clients from all over the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, Sonoma and Napa Counties. Please note that I offer appointments on Saturdays, in addition to weekday appointments.
